Who can I challenge?

Anyone you know. Friends, family, co-workers, your gym buddy, that cousin who swears they “just need to get serious again.” If they can join a group chat, they can join a challenge.

What happens if someone cheats?

 

They won’t get far. BetBuds uses in-app photo verification for weigh-ins and members can flag shady check-ins. No proof means no payout.

Do I have to show my actual weight?

 

Yes. Every weigh-in is done with a scale reading in the photo so everyone knows the results are legit. Your group sees the number. If you’re serious about winning, you’ll own it.

How do you verify weigh-in uploads?

 

BetBuds uses built-in AI verification on every weigh-in photo to keep challenges fair and payouts legit. The system scans for lighting consistency, angles, timestamps, background changes, and even the exact digits on your scale. If anything looks sketchy, like a reused photo, Photoshop trickery, or suspicious camera angles, the entry is instantly flagged for review by the group before anyone gets paid. We’re here for real results, not creative excuses.

Can I do a challenge alone?

 

Absolutely. Solo challenges are for people who don’t need a crowd to feel the heat. You still put cash on the line, check in daily with photo proof, and fight to hit your goal. The catch? If you fail, your buy-in doesn’t just vanish. It either fuels the Random Winner Pool where another challenger scores your money, or boosts the Community Prize Fund that powers epic group challenge rewards. Either way, losing means someone else is celebrating with your cash.

Where does the money go if I lose?

 

In group challenges, your buy-in goes straight into the winners’ pockets. You’re literally funding their victory celebration! In solo challenges, the money goes wherever you decided at the start.

How much money can I win?

 

Depends on your group and buy-in. In a five-person challenge at $50 each, the winner pockets $250. Bigger groups mean bigger pots.
